Anwar, Hadi condemn Israeli strikes on Doha
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim today condemned the Israeli airstrikes on Doha, describing them as a blatant violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and a grave breach of international law.
In a Facebook post, Anwar said the airstrikes not only endangered civilian lives, but threatened to inflame an already fragile region.
“By targeting Qatar, a nation central to mediation and dialogue in the Middle East, Israel has shown utter contempt for peace and diplomacy.
“Such an assault is indefensible and intolerable,” he said.
Expressing Malaysia’s solidarity with Qatar, he also urged the international community to hold Israel accountable for its “outrageous” actions.
