
Petrol station operators say purchasers should not panic if the fuel pump displays the full price of RON95 when they fill up with subsidised fuel from tomorrow.
Eligible Malaysians will pay only RM1.99 per litre for RON95 under the BUDI95 fuel subsidy initiative, to be rolled out fully tomorrow.
Foreigners and foreign-registered vehicles will have to pay the unsubsidised price.
“The pump display will show the latest retail price but eligible motorists will automatically receive the subsidy.
“Don’t panic, the pre-payment confirmation and final receipt will reflect the discounted amount,” Petroleum Dealers’ Association of Malaysia president Khairul Annuar Abdul Aziz told FMT.
