The Public Relations Practitioners’ Society of Malaysia (PRPSM) will host its inaugural Global Public Relations Conference and Festival at the World Trade Centre in Kuala Lumpur from Nov 13 to Nov 15.
PRPSM chairman and conference organiser P Kamalanathan said the three-day event aimed to elevate the role of public relations and communications in Malaysia and the region.
The former deputy education minister also emphasised the relevance of public relations beyond crisis situations and building brands, saying it helps foster responsibility to the community and involvement in corporate social responsibility.
“Public relations needs to be understood by everyone because crises happen everywhere. As a professional, you must understand how communication and crisis management work,” he told FMT.
