Hadi’s son-in-law assisting in probe on assault of govt servant
Sungai Buloh PAS chief Zaharuddin Muhammad has been arrested to assist in investigations into the assault of a public servant during the Kampung Sungai Baru commotion, say police.
Dang Wangi police chief Sulizmie Affendy Sulaiman confirmed the arrest of Zaharuddin, son-in-law of PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang, when contacted.
He said investigations were being held under Sections 186, 324 and 353 of the Penal Code.
Section 186 deals with obstructing a public servant in the discharge of his duties, while Section 324 involves voluntarily causing hurt with a dangerous weapon.
Section 353 covers the use of criminal force to deter a public servant from carrying out his duties.
